Facilitation of Making & Tinkering experiences

I'm curious about the blog feature for our newly formed CoP- so I'm trying it out.  Facilitation is a big issue in the tinkering studio, one that is ongoing and takes concerted effort.  I'm adding a working document we created about general facilitation.

Look for a document called:

Aspirations & Techniques for facilitating in the Tinkering Studio™: (things we think about when we’re working with visitors)

Feel free to add suggestions & ask questions ~ I'd like to see us fill this out even further with thoughts and experiences from across our institutions.

Blog posts on the tinkering studio website are also a good resource since we frequently post about the development of tinkering experiences and try to reflect on what it takes to facilitate them.

Hi Greg ~ Send photos of what you're up to at PSC. I know everyone would be interested in seeing them.
Here's a direct link to the recording -- https://vimeo.com/84342871
The video of the hangout has been uploaded to the resources section and I'll be adding everyone's powerpoints there. Brigitte's is up now. More to follow....
I feel compelled to mention something about the Seahawks vs the 49er's. Althought I'm not a huge football fan, I am planning to be watching this particular game. The whole town has gone nuts down here, and I'm guessing it's the same where you are.

Hi Karen,
I just joined the site and still figuring out my way around. I work at the Pacific Science Center and spoke with you a few months ago. We're slowly getting our tinkering space off the ground. I noticed there was a meetup on starting up tinkering spaces that happened yesterday. Will someone post a summary of the meeting?
Thanks,
Greg
