December 2016 roundup

December 2016 Roundup

A really interesting podcast was posted in December. Peter talked with Natalie Rusk and Eric Schilling from the Scratch Team at MIT. They shared info about a hip hop coding summit that explored the intersection of coding and creativity. Lots of great ideas were shared so take some time and check it out.

You can find it in the podcast section.

There was quite a bit of discussion about solutions to behavior issues. Several CoP members shared simple fixes, both spatial and interactive, to address not so positive behavior in their spaces. Lindsay shared a wonderful video of the Rockwood Library Makerspace and several great Garageband curriculum ideas were shared. And finally, Niq shared job descriptions for mentors.
