January 2017 roundup

Niq posted two mentor interview podcasts in January. Chris Layton from Studio NPL and Sienna Cittadino from the Carnegie team shared insights from their work. Chris is interested in creating more cross-platform workshops to get teens with different interests working together. Sienna is focused on creating relevant, timely, and flexible programs that meet teens where they are when they are there.

You can find both in the podcast section.

Many of the January discussion posts focused on upcoming grant opportunities. There were a few posts that generated some discussions. Several people shared their sources for inspiration that have guided their work and there were a few newly developed resources shared as well. Tricia George shared a white paper about their Sparks! Ignition grant project to create a customized tracker of youth and equipment in the Hartford YOUmedia space. Click below for highlights.
