how to encourage teens to move to the next level with HOMAGO, a question that comes up in many of our spaces. Tricia encouraged meeting youth where they are: "The important part here is that you have teens in the space which means they're already getting something out of it even if you can't see it yet. Progress takes time and a bunch of teens' time is already spoken for and controlled by other folks - the library is a different kind of place. Embrace it! Love it! Leverage the momentum you've already built by accommodating what they want." This is a good thread to share with co-workers who have concerns about how teens are spending their time in your space!
