In May the YOUmedia network welcomed it's newest member, Norfolk Public Library. We are all excited to hear more about the great programs Norfolk staff are working on. Stay tuned for a podcast highlighting their work. In the meantime, check out Pixelfest a citywide gaming event hosted and organized by Norfolk Public Library staff.
Welcoming the Norfolk Public Library into the YOUmedia Network
There were a few lively discussions this month. Lyndsey in Portland and Julie in Chicago asked for information about partnerships with schools. Niq in Nashville, Emily in Tucson, and Andrea in Kansas City each answered with information about how they partner with area schools. Kendra in Tucson shared PCPL's new teen program structure. PCPL's program was influenced by the work of many CoP members! And several different CoP members shared their recommendations for good equipment to put in a learning lab kit. These suggestions are focused on mobile equipment that can easily be shared by several sites. Each of these discussions contain so many great ideas and links to other resources!
