New ASTC Conference Dates (September 28th-October 1st)
Please update your calendar with new dates for the ASTC 2024 Annual Conference! We'll still be meeting in Chicago, but the conference will now begin with preconference experiences on Friday, September 27 and the Opening Plenary on Saturday, September 28. After several days of engaging sessions, a vibrant exhibit hall, and interactive social events, ASTC 2024 will wrap up with Museum Experience Day on Tuesday, October 1.
We look forward to seeing you even sooner than expected.
    Call for Proposals
Most of the content for the ASTC Annual Conference comes from YOU-we select sessions from among the hundreds of proposals submitted by our community.
We seek your ideas for the issues we will be discussing at this year's conference. You may propose a concurrent session, lightning talk, poster, preconference intensive or a new session type-the Hands-On Showcase-for short participatory demonstrations and activities on the Exhibit Hall stage.
Submissions may address any topic relevant to science and technology centers and museums and the broader fields of informal science learning and public engagement with science. We especially encourage you to think about current circumstances, capabilities, and priorities in the field.
For ASTC 2024, we're also including a special call for sessions relevant to natural history museums and other natural history settings.
As always, all sessions should incorporate diverse individual and organizational perspectives and take advantage of the opportunity for in-person engagement and interactivity.
Affiliation with an ASTC-member organization is not required to submit a session proposal nor to be a presenter. We welcome-and encourage-submissions from those at all career stages and in all job roles. We especially welcome first-time submissions and proposals from people who have not previously attended an ASTC conference.
Proposals should be submitted through our new submission portal by Friday, February 16.
