Hi! Should we be trying to convince the city/business to turn off streetlights during the eclipse for a couple of minutes? If you have done this before, can you share how difficult it was, to what degree you were successful, and if it was worth it?
I suspect that some lights are on timers and may require special programming. I also know that there are working groups in many communities (ours included) of EMA reps engaged in planning for the eclipse from practical standpoints (traffic, ability of ambulances to navigate, police, etc.) , so this might be at odds with their concerns.
