This page includes a number of vetted resource to equip, inspire, and inform the museum and library community as they develop and implement programs and activities to advance vaccine confidence in their communities. Vaccines & US

This Smithsonian-led initiative offers basic information about COVID-19 and vaccinations, educational resources including activities for young people, and examples of community outreach programs.

Vaccinate with Confidence

These resources from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention include suggested strategies for discussing vaccinations, sample messages for social media, and advice on how to find credible information about vaccines.

Office of the Surgeon General

The U.S. Surgeon General has developed resources relevant to the COVID-19 pandemic including a community toolkit on addressing health misinformation and an advisory on protecting youth mental health.

It's Up to You

This vaccine education initiative from the Ad Council and COVID Collaborative features a variety of resources to encourage audiences to stay informed about the latest vaccine information:

Vaccine Fact Library: videos created by prominent medical professionals
Targeted toolkits for outreach to Black, Hispanic, Black Faith, Hispanic Faith, and rural communities.

We Can Do This

This public education campaign from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is designed to increase confidence in COVID-19 vaccines and reinforce basic prevention measures, including a collection of shareable resources and outreach tools in more than ten languages. The site also includes a map of COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy by county across the United States.

Network of the National Library of Medicine

The Network of the National Library of Medicine at the National Institutes of Health has compiled a number of resources that may be helpful for advancing vaccine confidence:

REALM Project

REopening Archives, Libraries, and Museums (REALM) is a research project conducted by OCLC, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, and Battelle to produce and distribute science-based COVID-19 information that can aid local decision making regarding operations of archives, libraries, and museums. Partnering for Vaccine Equity

The Vaccine Resource Hub from the CDC's Partnering for Vaccine Equity program provides hundreds of free educational resources—including videos, factsheets, social media graphics—to support COVID-19 and flu vaccination in your community. Through Partnering for Vaccine Equity, the CDC aims to reduce racial and ethnic disparities in adult vaccination.
